We can promote policies that encourage entrepreneurship and job creation. More than 3 billion people depend on marine and coastal diversity for their livelihoods but today we are seeing nearly a third of the world’s fish stocks over-exploited. Today, job growth is not keeping pace with the growing Labour force. However, an estimated 75% of African youths are either unemployed or underemployed leaving more than 800 million people in the world live in extreme poverty most of whom are Africans. Thanks to sustainable agriculture, hunger has dropped by almost half in the past 20years. Also becoming the fastest growing continent in the world with over 2 billiion people, Africa will have the world’s youngest population with the largest workforce by 2050.
